Is it really the clutch?
Clutches wear over time and usually give you warning. The giveaways: the bite point creeps up towards the top of the pedal travel, acceleration feels soft compared to engine revs (a sign it’s slipping), the pedal becomes heavy or vague, or you feel a judder when pulling away. Any of those mean it’s time to get it looked at.
What we replace
A proper clutch job replaces the clutch disc, pressure plate and release bearing as a matched kit. On dual-mass flywheel cars, we check, and usually replace, the flywheel too, because a worn flywheel will destroy a new clutch in short order. We’ll always quote honestly, and we’ll always show you the old parts.
Getting you back on the road
Most clutch jobs take a working day. If you need to get to work or the school run in the meantime, our collection and delivery service (within eight miles) or the drop-off to Bluewater or Greenhithe station makes it straightforward.
